MINDY PORTER, INTERIOR DESIGNER:
With a natural eye and talent for design, Award-winning Interior Designer Mindy Porter is a valuable asset to Olson Defendorf Custom Homes. Born and raised in New Mexico, Mindy moved to Texas to attend Angelo State University, where she began her education and training in design. While starting her own design company in Central Texas in 1995, Mindy found time to raise two wonderful children, Jeremy and Cameron. A national home builder in Austin recruited her and she worked for them for ten years, winning numerous awards. Mindy loves all aspects of the design process and says, “although my friends and family kid me that shopping is the perfect job for me, I get the most satisfaction from searching high and low, finding the perfect design components to help my clients be absolutely thrilled with their new home.” Mindy is well-liked because she has the mature, professional ability to be flexible; assisting clients to design a look that works for each individual or family… without attempting to coax the client into a look that is favored by her alone. Mindy is happily married to Mike and enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and dog “Dash.”
