Originally from South Dakota, Christine relocated to Austin in 2023. Prior to joining Olson Defendorf Custom Homes, she helped build a boutique plaster and interior finishes company specializing in luxury residential and commercial projects. She gained firsthand insight into the collaboration between homeowners, interior designers, and builders throughout the construction process. With a background in real estate, Christine is passionate about building meaningful client relationships and making sure people feel supported and well informed. Her degrees in psychology and art bring both a people-first approach and a creative eye to her work. Born and raised in central Texas, Sam’s strong work ethic was forged on working ranches and refined through a lifetime of building. His first project came during high school in the building trades program, sparking a passion that’s never faded.
After 3½ years as a carpenter alongside a master craftsman—learning every aspect of home construction except the mechanicals—Sam pursued a business degree at Tarleton State University. Since then, he has managed construction projects for multiple companies in Austin, excelling in both tract and custom home settings.
An empty nester with one wonderful daughter, Sam makes the most of his free time outdoors. Whether it’s boating, kayaking, fishing, cycling, scuba diving, snow skiing, or tackling projects around the house, he brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to his hobbies as he does to his work.
